Meet the life-like robot receptionist who greets shoppers at Japan's department store

A Japanese department store is using a life-like humanoid robot receptionist to welcome and interact with the shoppers.

Tokyo's Mitsukoshi department store has programmed "Aiko Chihira" with numerous scripts, and it can speak Chinese, although its abilities in that language are currently limited, the Washington Times reported.

The robot uses 43 motors to move and is capable of Japanese sign language.
