Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis progressed through to the US Open semi-finals in the women's doubles event at Flushing Meadows.
The top seeded Indo-Swiss pair claimed a 7-6(5), 6-1 win over ninth seeds Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan in a thrilling quarterfinal contest that lasted an hour and 25 minutes.
Sania and Martina, who had lifted the women's doubles title at Wimbledon in July, will next face the Italian pair of Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta in semis.
