Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off a special train to Vaishno Devi on Friday during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
Preparations for the event are underway.
Executive Engineer Sumit Khajuria told ANI about the difficulty of the terrain and the challenges which the engineers faced as they linked the route.
"It's a very difficult terrain and we faced many challenges while linking the route. There are two stations in it and 10 tunnels. Single span is of 154 meter, longest span in Indian railways," said Khajuria.
