Former Pakistan team captain Moin Khan has been appointed as chief selector for the Pakistan cricket team by the Pakistan Cricket Board, with selectors Saleem Jaffar, Farukh Zaman and Azhar Khan to remain in their original positions.
According to the Express Tribune, Khan had earlier demanded the sacking of national coach Dav Whatmore following the team's 3-0 whitewash by South Africa, along with criticizing Test and one-day captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
He had said that both coach and captain were fighting for survival and they should have had a plan and vision for the team, instead of keeping their interests before the team.
Earlier this month, former chief selector Iqbal Qasim had resigned, after saying that he had no differences with the management over selection of Dav Whatmore or Misbah-ul-Haq and his term had ended.
