Madhesi Morcha has objected the agreement forged, in principle, by the three major parties to keep the Constitution Amendment Bill inactive in order to create an environment for polls.

Reports of the top leaders of three major parties agreeing, in principle, to hold local elections by April-May in a bid to break the political deadlock surfaced on Tuesday; prompting the Morcha to hold internal discussions, reports the Kathmandu Post.

The Morcha leaders have sought meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday to determine the authenticity of the reports.

The amendment bill, registered by the government on November 29, has widened rift between the governing and opposition parties.
