While reporting its first quarter earnings today, Facebook has revealed that it now has 1.44 billion monthly active users and 1.25 billion on mobile, marking a 13 and 24 percent increase respectively. At least 936 million people use the platform every single day.
By posting revenue totaling 3.45 billion dollars in Q1, Facebook recorded a 42 percent increase over the same period last year. However, the shift to mobile continued, with 73 percent of its revenue coming from mobile ads as opposed to 59 percent for this period last year, reported The Verge.
The company's net income, too, went up by 28 percent to 1.19 billion dollars.
Facebook also disclosed that it saw more than four billion daily video views.
The social media site's revenue although failed to meet expectations yet, a 42 percent increase in revenue year over year on 17 percent daily user growth was remarkable.
