Locals in Neemuch district allegedly thrashed three people who were trying to escape after stealing a goat, at Bhadwa Mata road.
"FIR has been registered against the three. An FIR has also been registered against the people for thrashing them," police said on Thursday.
Four to five people have also been rounded up involved in the case, police added.
