World number two Andy Murray crashed out of the Indian Wells Masters tournament after suffering a shock defeat to Argentina's Federico Delbonis in the third round on Tuesday.

The two-time Grand Slam champion was beaten 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7/3) by the Argentinean rival in a contest that lasted two hour and 46 minute.

Reflecting on his performance, Murray said that it was a tough match to lose, adding that he committed mistakes when he went for his shots, Sport24 reported.

Murray was playing in his first ATP Tour tournament since losing to world number one Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final in January.
