Veteran actor Nana Patekar on Monday distributed a sum of 15,000 rupees to the families of the farmers from Latur, Osmanabad who committed suicide.
Patekar distributed a sum of fifteen thousand rupees to about 113 widows, whose farmer husbands committed suicide because of the drought in Maharashtra.
Patekar appealed to the farmers to not commit suicide under any circumstance.
"Ignoring farmers can lead to a bloody revolution," said Patekar.
He also condemned the act of committing suicide, saying," Committing suicide is wrong, but if we give farmers the feeling that someone is there to support them, it will stop them from killing themselves.
