Australian spinner Nathan Lyon has said that becoming a dad for the first time has been a life changing experience for him and he has realised that cricket is not everything.
According to News.com.au, Lyon is also confident that he will earn his place in the Test team and revealed that he is happy with the way he has been bowling.
Lyon and his partner Mel welcomed daughter Harper into the world four weeks ago and he says it's put things into perspective.
He said that Harper had brought something pretty special into his and his partner's life, adding that it made him realise that cricket is not everything.
He said that a person could have a bad day and come home and still have the little one with no idea what is going on, putting a smile on your face.
