'National Lampoon's Vacation's remake has been scheduled for a 2015 release.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 1983's hit comedy series which was penned by John Hughes and directed by Harold will pick up with Rusty Griswold, a kid played by Anthony Michael Hall in the original, as a father taking his own family on a "comically hellish vacation".
'Horrible Bosses 2' co-writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein wil make their debut with the remake.
Chris Bender and David Dobkin are producing New Line's reboot, with Marc S. Fischer executive producing the project.
Ed Helms will play the role of Griswold, where Christina Applegate will play the role of his wife.
Leslie Mann will portray Audrey Griswold, Griswold's sister, who was played by Dana Barron in the original.
