Nawaz expresses satisfaction with progress in Taliban peace talks

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over progress of the government committee holding talks with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Sharif said the armed forces of Pakistan were supportive of the government's peace initiative.

He added that the Taliban have assured of action against those who had committed acts of terrorism in the recent days and hoped positive outcome from the talks, Dawn News reports.

According to the report, the premier is on a three-day official visit to Turkey to represent Pakistan at the 8th Afghanistan-Pakistan-Turkey Trilateral Summit.
