Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called off a meeting with the PPP co-chairperson and former president Asif Ali Zardari after the latter's anti-military remarks, said Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid.
According to Dawn News, Rashid said that Zardari should have been careful in his use of words.
He also said that the national security institution deserves respect and that it was not wise of Zardari to pass such statements.
Sharif earlier said that it was not an appropriate step to criticize the armed forces under the current circumstances.
