A new treadmill that gives interactive 3D experience was unveiled at the marathon's expo that will allow one to run the London Marathon without actually going outside.

According to Metro.co.uk, the footage that was filmed at the beginning of last year's marathon has been used to create a virtual race across Tower Bridge that also includes cheering spectators, barriers and aid stations.

Race director Hugh Brasher said that this would turn a dull treadmill experience in to an exciting one.

The full course is set to be rolled out by October.
