Joan Rivers' cause of death may remain a mystery forever as there's going to be no autopsy.
According to the sources, the comedienne's daughter Melissa Rivers had told the doctors that she didn't want an autopsy performed, and as per the New York law, medics have to honor such a request if there's no criminal evidence linked to the death, TMZ.com reported.
Though the medical examiner had concluded the cause of death as deprivation of oxygen, without an autopsy it's hard to pinpoint the nature of the problem as the procedure might unveil a puncture in the throat or other trauma.
