Union Minister for Human Resource Development Smriti Irani on Friday said that the government would take a call on the no detention policy only after taking a comprehensive view of written views from all the states.

"We have requested every state government to give their view in writing to us. Only after taking a comprehensive view of written views we receive from the states we will have deliberation with the academicians' and child psychologist, we will reach a conclusion and confirm," Irani told reporters here.

Irani also said that the government will be putting the first draft on New Education Policy by December on which it will have the deliberations.

"We have decided that the national education policy will be fructified only after deliberations across the country. Since January 26 we have had 33 themes of education on the mygov.in portal on which the citizens across the country have been giving their views on education," she further added.

HRD Minister Irani also said that she has been personally touring a lot of zones to know what their outlook about the national education policy is.

"I will be visiting certain institutes across the country (in the last phase) to understand the need of the parents and students about the policy," she added.
