A new "smart fabric" has recently been developed that has been permanently infused with the scent of whisky.
According to the Drinks Business, it has been made by Heriot Watt University's School of Textiles and Design with Harris Tweed Hebrides, and carries a scent of Aqua Alba, which has been designed to replicate the scent of Johnnie Walker's Black Label whisky.
The Scotch brand stated that the tweed carries aromas of "rich malt, golden vanilla, red fruit and dark chocolate tones", which it promises would withstand dry cleaning.
A range of products utilizing the whisky-scented fabric would be unveiled in Berlin before being marketed across the rest of Europe.
