OYO hires Anil Goel as Chief Technical Officer

India's largest network of branded hotels OYO has announced the appointment of Anil Goel as Chief Technical Officer.

Goel joins the Leadership team at OYO and will help in providing technological assistance to the Company's overall business operations.

As another landmark for OYO, the appointment is pivotal to maintain the Company's momentum in India as it advances its offerings in the hospitality segment.

Goel will be responsible for outlining the technological roadmap and cohesively integrating it with OYO's business strategy, simultaneously identifying new opportunities, managing the R&D department, monitoring technological and social trends, communicating the technology plan to partners, management and employees, while maintaining current information regarding technology standards.

A result-oriented technology executive, Goel brings on board more than 20 years' experience in building complex software applications/systems, technology infrastructure and businesses to drive revenue growth, expand the customer base and boost profitability.

Additionally, he has a proven track record in implementing technology solutions for various businesses, including e-Commerce, mobile, online gaming, media and subscriptions, call centre monitoring and analytics, travel, telecommunication, insurance, transportation and manufacturing.

Prior to joining OYO, he was associated with Amazon.com as the Global Head of Technology (CTO) for the Customer Returns and Reverse Logistics business.

Goel is considered a seasoned tech professional with in-depth knowledge in strategic planning, building and extending large software systems and infrastructure.

The additional skills include team management, technical architecture, design, product management, program management and project management for high availability, high volume transactional systems, web sites and online and mobile applications.
