The Australian media has claimed that national cricketers George Bailey, Mitchell Johnson and James Faulkner have enhanced their claims for a place in the Test team with their performances in the ODI series against India.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Bailey's composure under trying circumstances has been as impressive as his batting and the Tasmanian simply looks like he would be at home at the top level, and is demanding the chance to prove it.
James Faulkner was at his brilliant best as he led Australia's charge with 30 off one over against India in the third ODI, the report said.
Mitchell Johnson is proving his doubters wrong as his pace and bounce unnerved the Indian batsmen, taking 4-46, the report added.
All these players deserve a chance to prove themselves in the Ashes and throw up interesting insights before the Test series Down Under, according to the report.
