New Arsenal star Mesut Ozil had reportedly exhausted himself when he was at Real Madrid by flying to Italy several times a month to see a former Miss Venezuela.

According to the Mirror, the 42.5 million-pound Ozil is said to have worn himself out after repeated visits to Milan-based model Aida Yespica, who was once dubbed as the world's hottest WAG.

The report said that the German player's weakness for beautiful women was a major factor in Real Madrid's decision to sell him.

According to the report, the 150,000 pounds-a week Ozil, a practising Muslim who recites the Koran before games, had allegedly hired a private plane at 15,000 pounds a time to visit Yespica.

A report claimed that the early morning trips to see Yespica, which were extended to the 'last minute of passion', led to a down affecting Ozil's performance.

Ozil is now dating German singer Mandy Capristo, the report added.
