Hours after the Supreme Court refused to modify its earlier order on 'Padmaavat', Madhya Pradesh Law Minister on Tuesday said that they would again approach the apex court.
"We are talking to legal experts to ensure that we abide by Supreme Court decision but at the same time respect sentiments of the people. We will also explore options to again approach the court," Rampal Singh told ANI.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said that they have no other option than to maintain law and order situation in the state post top court's order.
"Our review petition in Supreme Court has been rejected as well. Now, we have no other alternative but to ensure law and order situation in the state and that we will do," he told ANI.
Earlier in the day, the top court refused to modify its earlier order on controversy-ridden Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus.
Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments had filed plea seeking modification in the apex court's order, which had paved the way for the release of the controversial film.
The top court last week set aside the notification passed by the states of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat to ban the release of Padmaavat.
The epic drama, based on 16th-century Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi's epic poem 'Padmavat', is all set to hit the cinema halls on January 25.
