Pakistan ODI skipper Azhar Ali has said that his side is better than the rank allotted to them, and added that they would now focus on one series at a time in order to improve themselves in rankings as well.
Pakistan, who are currently at the eighth spot in the ICC ODI rankings, are seeking for the right combination to win the third ODI of the four-match series against England in Sharjah on November 17, the Express Tribune reported.
Azhar revealed that his side needs a set of opening pair since last year, but the absence of all-rounders due to injury is making it difficult to pick up the right combination.
Azhar also expressed his views on leg-spinner Yasir Shah, who is doubtful to play the third ODI against England due to knee injury, saying that the latter bowled extremely well in the first game.
Uncapped left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar is likely to replace Shah, who bagged 15 wickets in Pakistan's 2-0 Test win but managed only one wicket in the two ODIs.
Earlier, England had levelled the four-match series against Pakistan 1-1 following their 95-run win in the second ODI at Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan won the first match by six wickets and have already clinched the three-match Test series 2-0 against England.
