A breakaway faction of Pakistan Taliban has threatened Malala Yousufzai with "sharp and shiny knives" hours after she was declared the joint winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize.
Jamaat ul Ahrar, which broke away from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in August, posted a tweet on Friday warning "characters like Malala" that the group will not be deterred by the propaganda of non-believers and has prepared "sharp and shiny knives" for the enemies of Islam, reported News 24.
Spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan also went on to ask Yousufzai, who speaks against guns and armed conflicts, if she knew that the founder of her recent Nobel award was the inventor of explosives.
The 17-year old education activist survived a gunshot wound to the head by a Taliban militant in 2012 for supporting female education in Pakistan.
