Actor Manoj Bajpai, who was recently spotted at the documentary release of veteran music director R.D. Burman aka Panchamda, said his songs are evergreen and loved by all.
The 46- year-old actor asserted that Panchamda's documentary gives a lesson to all about acknowledging the calibre of a person, and not just the box-office.
"This documentary in itself is a lesson for our society that we should acknowledge and praise the talent, not the box office. When a legend as talented as Panchamda was with us, then we did not acknowledge him and today when he is no more, we are acknowledging his work," he said.
The 'Gangs of Wasseypur' star also expressed his regret at not ever meeting the musical genius.
"Who did not follow Panchamda? Who does not follow Panchamda today? 99 percent of his songs are everybody's favourites, I like them in particular. It's very strange that he died year and a half after I came to Mumbai, I could not meet him. I was struggler then, and will always have regret about it," he said.
Manoj , who will be next seen in movie 'Aligarh', urged people to watch this documentary, as it would give them an opportunity to know more about his personal life.
Director Ashutosh Gowariker was also spotted at the event.
