Passion and dedication the mantra for success in Civil Services

Focus and determination is definitely the key to success in life as the successful candidates in the prestigious Civil Services Examination believe that nothing can be achieved without dedication and passion.

Athar Aamir, who stood second in the 2015 Civil Services Examination, sharing his mantra of success laid thrust on passion, dedication and hard work.

Apart from this, he considers his family support as one of the biggest motivations for him to achieve desired success in this elite category of government services.

Aamir also gives credit to his mentors in the Chanakya IAS Academy who helped him with the detailed study materials and provided constant support.

Sarneet Kaur Broca, who achieved an All-India Rank of 309 in the Civil Services, echoes similar sentiments saying it is vitally important to stay focused while answering prelims question as for every wrong answer the aspirants will have to bear negative marking.

He, however, said the strategy for prelims exam differs significantly to that of mains.
