Reacting to the 'Suit-boot ki Sarkar' jibe and the 'Feku' word used for Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said there was nothing new in the latter's address and that the people of Bihar will respond to this kind of frivolity during the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.
"Today, when Rahul Gandhi arrived for the rally, disappointment was writ clearly on his face. He appeared like a lost warrior. He (Rahul) was not welcomed by Lalu Yadav, but by the latter's son, Nitish Kumar did not welcome him, but sent one of his leaders. So, it is clear that when their alliance is not taking him seriously, how can the people of Bihar take him seriously," BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI.
"There was nothing new in his address. These 'suitcase' leaders are talking about 'Suit-boot' , he has been talking about this for ages," he added.
"The people of Bihar will respond to these frivolous words used for the Prime Minister in the upcoming assembly polls," he further said.
"Prime Minister Modi promised two lakh jobs, promised Rs.15 lakh deposit to each account and to reduce high prices. Did it happen? 'Feku tha, hai' (He was a braggart and will remain one," said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally in Champaran.
