Asserting that education is the best way to end poverty, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged all parents to ensure that their children receive proper education.
"Education is the best and even the least expensive way to fight poverty. I urge all of you (in this gathering), whatever circumstances are, to ensure that your children receive education," said Prime Minister Modi while addressing the gathering at a function organised by the Rickshaw Sangh here.
"Every person wants his or her child to lead a life better than what they led. Every person wants his or her child lead a life of dignity and education can help achieve that," he added.
Prime Minister Modi, who is presently on a day-long visit of his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, distributed 501 pedal rickshaws and 101 e-rickshaws on the occasion.
