PM Modi envisions housing for all by 2022

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday envisioned an India with housing for all by the year 2022, urging the people of Maharashtra to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming state legislative assembly elections.

"I have a vision, there shouldn't be a single family of the nation that doesn't have a house of their own by 2022," said Prime Minister Modi, while addressing a rally in the Borivali area in the city.

The Prime Minister also lashed out at the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) coalition government, accusing the two parties of 15 years of misrule and added that the upcoming polls in the state will decide its destiny.

"The Congress-NCP alliance has ruled the state for 15 years and ruined it. The destruction of 15 years has shattered the dreams of two generations," Prime Minister Modi said.

"These elections are not about who forms Government or who becomes the next Chief Minister. These elections are about deciding the destiny of Maharashtra," the Prime Minister added.

The election for 288 member Maharashtra state assembly is scheduled to be held on October 15, with the counting of the votes scheduled for October 19.
