PM Modi meets Bangladesh President Hamid

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid at the Bangabhawan in Dhaka on Sunday.

Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to twitter to share the information.

"A warmth that brings two neighbours together. PM @narendramodi and President Abdul Hamid confer at Bangabhawan," he posted.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi offered prayers at the Dhakeshwari Temple in the city. He also visited the Ramakrishna Mission here. He also inaugurated six projects undertaken with grant-in-aid during his visit of the Indian High Commission in the city.

He is later scheduled to receive the Award of Liberation War Honour on behalf of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
