The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) two-day national executive meeting will begin in Bhubaneswar from Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP veterans L.K. Advani and M.M. Joshi will be among those joining the deliberations.

"However, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj may skip the meet due to health issues, Union Ministers, the Chief Ministers of 13 BJP-ruled states and three Deputy Chief Ministers, will attend the meet," Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.

"Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive at the state capital by 3.30 p.m. tomorrow and then will proceed to the Raj Bhavan before attending the national executive meet at Janata Maidan at 5 p.m." he added.

BJP president Amit Shah, who arrived in Bhubaneswar earlier in the day, garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar at A.G. Chhak, near the Secretariat.

Shah is also scheduled to attend a programme at the state BJP headquarters to celebrate the Odia New Year.
