PM Sushil Koirala to meet Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav

The Prime Minister of Nepal, Sushil Koirala, will meet President Ram Baran Yadav this evening in Kathmandu to discuss the modalities to be followed for electing a new prime minister and when to convene the next session of parliament.

Yadav, on Sunday, announced the adoption of a new 'secular and democratic' Constitution amid protests by various sections of society.

The protests, which have been going on for weeks in the country against the adoption of the new constitution, are severe in south where certain ethnic minorities are opposing the proposed boundaries of the new provinces.
