Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will meet the captains of Industry on July 29 to review steps to revive the economy.
"The Prime Minister will meet the captains of industry on 29 July to review steps to revive the economy," a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said today.
Dr. Singh will deliberate with India Inc on measures to correct the current account deficit (CAD), measures to revive industrial growth and depreciation of the rupee and its impact on trade and industry, the PMO said.
The meeting between Dr. Singh and corporate bigwigs will also discuss skill development and ways of accelerating it.
Besides, development of industrial corridors : the Delhi - Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC), and the Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (ADKIC) will also come up for deliberation during the meeting.
