In a major crackdown, police in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, have arrested at least 32 Maoist sympathisers.
Most of the accused had several cases pending against them.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Bijapur Indira Kalyan Elesela, said some of them faced serious charges like murder etc.
"A special operation has been launched in Bijapur district to arrest Maoists holding permanent warranty. Under this operation, 32 Maoists have been arrested under the charges of murder, attempt to murder, inciting violence etc.," said Elesela.
