ADG Sutapa Sanyal on Sunday disclosed that the woman in her thirties who was earlier thought to have been raped was actually murdered by an accused who has been arrested.
The ADG also clarified that this was a one man operation.
"Accused have been identified, too much of hard work put in by UP police helped in solving case. The accused Ramsevak wanted to have physical relations with the victim. He killed her after failing in his attempts," Sanyal said.
"This was not a gang grape, but a one man operation. Very sad. On the basis of forensic science reports, no seminal fluid was found which shows sexual intercourse did not happen," Sanyal added.
A 35 year old woman was murdered and her body was found naked with injury marks on head, face and private parts in a primary school in Balsinghkheda village of Lucknow district.
