Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) working president M.K. Stalin on Friday demanded Tamil Nadu Health Minister Vijaya Baskar's after Income Tax (I-T) officials raided his residence.
Earlier in the day, few I-T officials raided at Baskar's Greenways road residence and also at other locations including Pudukkottai and Trichy.
In his defence, Baskar said that the I-T department was harassing him even while he cooperated with them throughout the raid.
Few supporters have come forward in Baskar's support and have been protesting on the roads. The police had to use water cannons to control the crowd.
This comes ahead of the R.K. Nagar by-polls on April 12.
