President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday condoled the passing away of Brijmohan Lall Munjal, founder-chairman of Hero MotoCorp.
In his condolence message to Munjal's son Sunil Kant Munjal, President Mukherjee said, "I am sad to learn about the passing away of Brijmohan Lall Munjal."
An iconic figure and eminent industrialist, Munjal was known for his hard-work, vision and immense contribution to the Indian two-wheeler industry.
His entrepreneurial abilities resulted in Hero MotoCorp becoming a benchmark for the rest of Indian industry. For his exemplary contribution in the field of trade and industry, he was honoured with Padma Bhushan in 2005.
In his death, said the President, the nation has lost a stalwart whose human touch endeared him to all.
