President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday congratulated Indian cricket team for victory against Ireland in today's match of the ICC World Cup, 2015.
President Mukherjee took to Twitter to send his congratulatory message.
"Bravo and well done Team India on the 5th straight win in the ICC World Cup 2015 by winning today's match against Ireland," President Mukherjee tweeted.
India beat Ireland by eight wickets register their fifth win in the ICC World Cup 2015.
This is the Indian cricket team's fifth consecutive win in the series. Skipper M.S. Dhoni has also equalled former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd's record of nine consecutive World Cup match wins. The leader of this pack is former Australian captain Ricky Ponting with 24 consecutive wins between 2003 and 2011.
