U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday to counter the Washington Post's allegations that he (Trump) had shared "highly classified information" with Russian officials.
The Washington Post alleged that President Trump met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Moscow's Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak on May 10 and shared unspecified yet high- value information about ISIS acquired from an intelligence partner, potentially jeopardizing operations against ISIS and compromising U.S. intelligence agencies.
Trump said, "As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled White House meeting ) which I have the absolute right to do,facts pertaining.."
Presdeint Tweeted ".to terrorism and airline flight safety.Humanirtarian reasons, plaus I want Russia to greatly step up their fight against ISIS and terrorism. "
President Trump reportedly revealed information about ISIS plot to use laptop computers in terror attacks, which is considered as highly sensitive as the U.S. ally had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia.
The Trump administation has imposed a ban in March ,imposing restrictions on a carry-on electronic devices on planes coming to the United States from 10 airports in Muslim -majority countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
