South Africa has beaten Pakistan by eight wickets in their second World Twenty20 warm-up match in Fatullah on Wednesday, with Pakistan electing to bat first after winning the toss.

South Africa bowled Pakistan out for 71 inside 18 overs, and only three Pakistani batsmen managed double figures, with Umar Akmal the top scorer with 17 runs.

According to Sport24, despite batsman Faf du Plessis and star pacer Dale Steyn sitting out due to injury, South Africa reached the 72 runs required for victory with six overs to spare, while only losing openers Quinton de Kock (15) and Hashim Amla, who top scored with 24 runs.

The report mentioned that David Miller was promoted to No. 3 in the batting line-up, scoring 12 runs off 23 balls to see the South Africans home along with stand-in captain AB de Villiers, who chipped in with 20 runs.
