Proteas coach Domingo defends five-wicket loss to Oz in second T20

South Africa coach Russell Domingo has reportedly defended his team's five-wicket loss to Australia in a rain-reduced second Twenty20 match of the three match series between the two teams.

Domingo has said that one has to remember that Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel were not part of the match and this made it a great opportunity for players like Beuran Hendricks, in his first taste of international cricket, to feel what the pressure's about.

According to Sport24, the Proteas lost the seven-over contest with 15 runs and two balls to spare to preserve heading in the final over sent down by Wayne Parnell.

However, Domingo said that Parnell has bowled for the team earlier and been successful but that this match loss is all part of the process.

Although South Africa lost, Domingo was not too disheartened as he said that there is always a lesson to learn despite any number of overs a team plays, the report added.

Domingo reportedly refused to blame Lonwabo Tsotsobe's, who gave 21 runs from his first over to Australian opener David Warner, over for the defeat, which put them 1-0 down in the series ahead of the final game at Centurion.

Domingo said that this is what Warner can do to a bowler and it is just one of 'those things' in a game of that could have gone either way for both the teams.
