Proteas recall Tahir, Piedt for Test series against India

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has recalled spinner Imran Tahir and Dane Piedt into the squad for their upcoming four-match Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela Test Series against India.

They have also included wicketkeeper Dane Vilas in the Test squad after his debut against Bangladesh in July.

Confirming the news, CSA selection convener, Linda Zondi said that it is good to have Piedt back after suffering from injury, while Tahir is their top spinner who will play in every series.

Zondi added that it would be a great opportunity for Vilas to retain his form who hardly had chance to make his mark in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, pacer Chris Morris has also been called for the ODIs and the T20s.

South Africa will play three T20 internationals, five ODIs and four Test matches in their historic tour to India.
