Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal on Saturday said that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has expressed his sympathy towards the victims of the Doraha gas leak and assured suitable compensation for their families.
"Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has expressed sympathy and will offer most suitable compensation to the victims," Atwal told the media here.
At least six people were killed and 100 others forced to seek treatment due to the deadly gas leak.
The leak reportedly occurred when the tanker got stuck under a flyover on the Doraha Bypass Road.
The villagers have been evacuated from the gas leak site.
