Janata Dal (United) leader, Ali Anwar on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) differential stance on various issues of national import is not anything new for that party.
His comment was made, in reference to Narendra Modi's meeting with the RSS leaders in Nagpur today. Earlier, Senior BJP leader, L.K. Advani, had met with the RSS in Nagpur.
"It's an internal matter that the BJP needs to look into themselves. According to TV reports, Advaniji went to Nagpur. Advaniji settled matters with Bhagwatji that development will be a factor in the next elections. But these matters are emotional and must not be mixed up with religion. They shouldn't create this polarization on the basis of religion. They are playing the Hindu-card", said Anwar.
Anwar further criticized the NDA, by saying that "All their output (say different things). BHP says something else, Bajarang Dal says something else, RSS says something else, some other politician (of theirs) says something else-their varying stands on issues has been age-old", said Anwar.
The communal and secular debate has been the focal subject of political statements, as part of the lead-up to the 2014 elections.
"What they (the BJP) do, in reality, is different (from the statements they make). They are Raavan-faced people. Just like Raavan had ten heads, they (the BJP) also have 10 faces", said Anwar.
