Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi on Thursday once again accused BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, of making contradictory statements on women's empowerment- when he is involved in tapping phones of women in his own state.

"The power doesn't remain with just one person. He talks about empowering women on one hand and then he taps the phone of women in Gujarat to monitor her phone calls," Rahul attacked Modi in his rally in Gopalganj.

Rahul pulled up the Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal United (JD-U) Government in Bihar, calling it being inactive it utilizing funds sent by the centre on fighting floods and on sugarcane farmers.

Every year flood ravages this place. The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government gave crores of rupees exclusively for Bihar to fight floods here. But the state Government isn't able to fight the floods properly. Sugarcane farmers did not even get their due which the UPA had sent amounting to six thousand crores of rupees. The incumbent Government in Bihar makes tall speeches but it doesn't do anything on ground.
