The Rajasthan Royals have thrashed the Delhi Daredevils by a whopping 62 runs in their Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Delhi could only muster 139 for nine despite 61 not out off 44 balls from Manoj Tiwary as they collapsed to their ninth loss in 11 matches with Royals player Ajinkya Rahane striking a controlled 64 off 50 deliveries, his third fifty of this year's tournament.

According to Sport24, the right-hander brought up his fifty off 45 balls, and went past 300 runs for this year's IPL in the process before he was bowled by spinner Shahbaz Nadeem in the 17th over of the innings in the match, which started 15 minutes late because of a rain delay.

Meanwhile, Trinidad and Tobago player Kevon Cooper, who was sent in as a pinch hitter, raced to 32 off 16 balls, his highest score in T20 cricket and he added 49 runs for the second wicket with Rahane.

South African Imran Tahir was the pick of Delhi's attack as he ended with 2-25 off four overs, the report added.
