Raman Singh attends 'Chintan Shivir' to discuss Chhattisgarh's development roadmap

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday attended a 'Chintan Shivir' at Barnawapara, during which a roadmap for future schemes and development goals for the remaining two and a half years of his government was discussed.

Speaking to media persons, Singh said that the Shivir was attended by leaders from different constituencies to discuss how the implementation of the new schemes needed to be done.

"Several senior leaders were there in the meeting. A positive discussion was held and government's working in the last two and a half years was reviewed.

Priorities were set for coming years. Ways to ensure that the benefit of the schemes reach the lowest strata of the society was also discussed," he said.

"We also discussed how to make Ujjwala Yojna a success in a transparent manner. We must reach the poorest and the backward. Some leaders also suggested launching of new schemes, we will think about it," he added.

When asked about the elections in the state, Singh said good work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government at the Centre would help BJP a great deal in the state.
