Ramdev's idea of curing dengue not 'scientifically established': Tulsi

Disagreeing with Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's idea of curing dengue with mix juice of Giloy, Aloe Vera, Papaya leaf and Pomegranates, senior lawyer KTS Tulsi on Thursday said that it is not scientifically established and hence should not be propagated.

"I don't think it is scientifically established and till it is scientifically established, I don't think you can propagate the idea because religious sentiments cannot take place of science," Tulsi told ANI

"It is a question of life and death of various individuals, particularly when dengue is in a state of epidemic," he added.

Earlier, Baba Ramdev said dengue patients should take Giloy or Aloe Vera juice to control the disease.

"Juices of Giloy, Aloe Vera, Pappaya leaves and Pomegranate are very effective in the treatment of dengue. 50-50 ml juice of each, if given to a patient, three to four times a day, dengue can be controlled 100 percent," he said at a press conference here.

As per the municipal corporation's fresh data released yesterday, 613 cases of dengue have been reported in the last one week, and a total 1,872 patients have tested positive for the vector borne disease till September 12. So far more than 13 deaths have been reported so far in Delhi.
