A killer associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was arrested Tuesday by the Pakistan Rangers during a search operation.

"Mohammad Kashif alias David, who belongs to the MQM, is a most wanted criminal in multiple targeted killing and terrorism incidents," the Dawn quoted Rangers official Colonel Faisal, as saying.

Rangers also recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition, including Kalashnikovs, light machine guns (LMGs) and Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG-7), and their uniforms during the operation.

Faisal said the operation was carried out on a tip-off close to MQM's Nine Zero headquarters.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
