Hollywood icon Raquel Welch has revealed that she threatened her father with a poker after his cruelty became too much.
The 74-year-old actress said that she was "terrified" of her dad Armando, who once held her head under a faucet and made her cut her hair off, the Mirror reported.
The 'One Million Years BC' star added that at 16 when she saw him throw milk over mum Josephine after complaining about her cooking, she finally flipped screaming out and flying at him with a poker.
Welch, who thinks her mum rather liked it but dad was shocked, added that she picked up the poker at the fireplace and came at him and said, "Don't you ever do that to mother again or I'll..."
She continued that he was stunned and she had never thought about confronting her father like that, it was just an instinct as she thought it was cruel, demeaning and totally uncalled for, adding that her mom was phenomenal and a wonderful woman.
