The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army's 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha, on Wednesday said the army is ready to thwart infiltration attempts by militants from the other side of the border.
"Awaiting infiltration is estimated at around 160-170 for which we are prepared. The snowfall is not as much as the previous year, but the temperatures are down this year. Therefore, we have new challenges," he told the media here.
Lieutenant General Saha's remarks came in the wake of fresh firing by Pakistani troops that killed one BSF jawan and injured another in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba Sector earlier in the day.
